Games I Recommend

NOTE: this page is still under heavy construction, games and links will be added soon

This is a list of games I have played throughout the years and would highly recommend, provided you enjoy the type of game

Table of Contents:

Story

Night in the Woods

Night in the Woods is a story game in which you play as Mae, a 20 year old who has just dropped out of college and returns to her small, American rust belt town. The game involves you hanging out with friends, catching up on what happened in the 2 years you were gone and how the town has changed (largely for the worse), before taking a dark twist in the second half.

Oxenfree

A story game in which you play as Alex, as she travels with her friends for a party on Edwards Island, known for creepy radio frequencies that you can pick up in cetrain spots. the game involves you travelling across Edwards Island, Fucking around with these frequencies and, subsequently, finding out why you shouldn't.

No More Future

No more Future is a visual novel in which you take the role of a terminal cancer patient, visited by a scientist with an offer of a chance at eternal life, in order to aid them in developing the technology. You take the offer, and your consciousness is transferred to a synthetic lifeform, capable of everything a normal body can, and more. However, you soon find out that your choice did not come without consequences. The game manages to cover a range of topics, from the legal grey area you now reside in, to if you are even really still 'you', or just a computer imitation.

Needless to say, the game's topics and worldbuilding is much deeper than I was expecting from a Furry Visual Novel, then again, I guess you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Be warned this game does cover heavy topics such as death, suicide, depression, anxiety, and existential dread, so if these topics are sensitive for you, I would recommend staying away.

Other

Laika: Aged Through Blood

I have only played about two hours of the demo at time of writing, but I'm already hooked. The gameplay I would best describe as metroidvania-like, with one key difference: you're on a bike. What results is flip filled, bullet time gameplay that never fails to make you feel cool. At time of writing, only the demo is available, but i would still highly recommend checking it out.
